WhyDee has burst onto the scene as one of the most exciting young talents of his generation. 

At just 18 years old, the multi-talented rapper, producer, sound engineer, and content creator has achieved remarkable milestones, positioning himself as a force to be reckoned with in both music and social media.

His debut single, Jack In The Box, has surpassed 4.5 million streams across digital streaming platforms. 

The accompanying music video has garnered over 2.5 million views, cementing WhyDee as a rising star with an authentic and fiercely independent approach.

Uniquely, he debuted the video on his own YouTube channel and released the audio independently without any ads—a bold move that underscores the strength of his social media influence, loyal fanbase, and undeniable talent.

Racking up over 40 million views monthly and generated over 1.5 billion views across socials in 12 months through his viral Videos, WhyDee blends humor, creativity, and a deep connection with his audience and fellow artists including Central Cee, Sexy Red, Asake, Stormy, Tion Wayne, Luke Dennis, Lil Tjay and many more. His ‘Band 4 Band’ meme has been viewed over 500 million times on Tiktok, generating millions of streams and creations. 

By teasing music with engaging visualizers and blending it with his content, he is successfully converting millions of social viewers into avid Spotify listeners, proving the power of his digital strategy.

Born and raised in North West London, WhyDee—also popularly known as Charva 2—brings a dynamic presence that extends beyond music. Standing at 6’3″ and having trained at the prestigious Sylvia Young Drama School, he has been immersed in entertainment from a young age. WhyDee’s career began at just two years old in television commercials, and since then, he has expanded his skillset to include radio production (for stations like Capital Xtra and Eagle7FM) and music engineering for Sony Music.

 

In October 2024, WhyDee and his group, The Charvas, took their talents to the O2 Arena, where they opened for US rapper Lil Jay. During the performance, they brought their close friend YJ on stage for a high-energy collaboration. 

WhyDee who was the face of The Wireless advert for 2024 also performed at the prestigious Leeds and Reading Festivals, further solidifying his presence in the live music scene.
